Solero Dessert Sauce: A touch of childhood in a jar
There are certain flavours that instantly transport us back to our childhood. For me, it’s the unmistakable taste of passion fruit – fruity, tropical and sweet yet tart at the same time. It reminds me of hot summer days, the cool ice lolly in my hand and that special moment when the creamy vanilla meets the fruity passion fruit coating.
I wanted to capture precisely this flavour and transform it into a versatile dessert sauce. A sauce that not only enhances ice cream, but also takes yoghurt, pancakes or even fish dishes to a whole new level. The intense flavour of passion fruit, refined with a hint of orange and vanilla, instantly conjures up summer feelings – whatever the weather.
This homemade Solero-inspired passion fruit sauce is my homage to a childhood classic and, at the same time, a little piece of holiday feeling for at home. It is amazingly versatile and brings tropical flavour to any kitchen. Let this simple recipe transport you to sunny memories!
